World Employer Branding Day 2019

We are thrilled to announced LISBON as the host city for World Employer Branding Day 2019 which will be held from 15-17 May 2019.

World Employer Branding Day founder Brett Minchington said, "Following an extensive review of potential cities, the discussion kept coming back to Lisbon as the city that is on everyone's radar as a must see destination.

So I needed to travel to Lisbon from Australia to see it for myself for the first time and spent a week there last month meeting local partners, touring venues and seeing as much of the city I could pack in. Having traveled to nearly 40 countries over the past 10 years, this is the first time that I had left a city wanting to turn straight around at the airport and explore further. There is an energy about Lisbon that is hard to describe unless you've been there and experienced it. There is also a really strong friendly service culture amongst the locals which will be welcoming to leaders from around the world who will attend.

"This is the fourth edition of World Employer Branding Day and is the first time the event will he held outside eastern Europe," Minchington said." If there was ever a time for us to make a move to the west, it is 2019, as the demand for the 2018 event saw it sell out 2 months prior to the event. We are very excited to be calling leaders from around the world to join us in Lisbon for 3 memorable days of learning, networking and inspiration."

World Employer Branding Day 2019 will be held at one of Lisbon's most famous venues, the Tiovoli Theatre which is located in the center of Lisbon. Opened in 1924, the Tivoli Theater, a three-storey, 1000 seat venue, is classified as a Monument of Public Interest and recognized as a cultural icon of national reference.

"Lisbon offers everything we look for in a host city including local culture, accessibility, amazing historic venues and so many amazing sites all within walking distance. It also has an emerging employer branding community which is an important objective of the event to connect all countries into the global employer branding community to foster industry innovation and growth," Minchington said.

The format for the International Event will continue to build upon the 3 day format launched in 2018. A day of highly interactive workshops will be held on 15 May, prior to the main event, the International Employer Branding Day Summit on 16 May. Leaders will then come together following the Summit for a cocktail evening party at one of Lisbon's most iconic vantage points! The event will conclude with a Discovery culture tour of Lisbon's most iconic sites.

Minchington also announced World Employer Branding Day 2019 will include a higher level of industry involvement at the workshops day on 15 May with industry leaders facilitating the round table workshops and delegates having the opportunity to ask questions to an expert panel of employer branding leaders and practitioners who will be sharing best practice and leading workshop discussions.

Further announcements about speakers, agenda, social events, etc will be made in the coming months. Registrations are now open at www.worldemployerbrandingday.community
